Hi my name is Michaela. I have been minding children in a non professional sense for as long as I can remember. Professionally I have studied childcare and have my level 5 qualifications and working on my level 6 qualification. I have done work placement in a creche working with children of 6 months to 4 years. I am very organised, creative, cheerful person who enjoys creating fun and exciting projects for children and to ensure all children know they also can do something even if they may have a disability or not. With childminding I provide a safe, comfortable and nurturing space for children and their parents. I have a passion on helping all children learn and progress through many different methods such as dance, music, books, toys, imagination, sensory toys, arts and crafts and many more. I am committed to the child's well-being and have full knowledge on Aister and Siolta which can be implemented in your child's day if you wish as I know how important routine is to children especially for children with additional needs or children who may just need that extra bit of support. I feel I'm the best at what I do is because I listen to the children, if they feel like they can't do something we figure out a plan on how to get it done. I was once minding a child who was non verbal, the other children didn't want to play with them as the child couldn't verbally talk to them. I sat with the other children and explained how we are all different in our own ways but that doesn't mean we can't play together. The children went over with a toy in hand, gave it to the non verbal child and they all played together. The smile on all of their faces made my day. The non verbal child then went to the flash cards and brought over one to me and it said thank you. The smile wouldn't leave my face. And I hope I can bring that same smile to your child and family.
