What is Garda vetting?Back to Top

Garda vetting is a background check completed by the National Vetting Bureau. The Gardai will check to see if the person applying has a criminal record.

How long does Garda vetting take?Back to Top

The current processing time is 7-10 days after all documents have been received by the Garda National Vetting Bureau.

How do I apply for Garda vetting?Back to Top

A) Select and make your payment.

B) Then email catherine@mindme.ie and you will be sent a Vetting Invitation Form. You must complete the form and return it to Catherine together with proof of your identity and proof of your address.

C) MindMe.ie will validate your proof of identity and proof of address and will forward your information to the Garda National Vetting Bureau.

D) You will then be sent a link to complete the Vetting Application Form online.

E) The National Vetting Bureau processes the application and sends a vetting disclosure back to Mindme.ie

F) Mindme.ie reviews the disclosure and will send you a copy. Assuming you have been successful your Mindme profile will now contain the Garda Vetting badge.

A) Select and make your payment.

B) Catherine will email you to obtain your carers contact details. Your carer will then be emailed the information and requirements for the Garda Vetting process.

C) Your carer will be emailed their Vetting Disclosure.
