Hi there! I'm Valentina, and I’d love to be your babysitter! I’m currently living in Galway while pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at NUIG, and I’m excited to offer my babysitting services. I’m originally from the United States, and I’ve always enjoyed spending time with kids. I babysat for neighbours for many years, and formed lasting relationships with the children I cared for, who I still keep in contact with today! I’m currently doing a placement at Jigsaw, where I provide counselling to young people aged 12-25. I have great communication and empathy skills, making me a great listener and someone who can help kids (and teens) feel heard and supported. For younger children, I love to keep them entertained with fun activities—whether that’s playing games, doing arts and crafts, watching movies (Inside Out and Princess and the Frog are some of my favourites!), or just having fun with whatever they enjoy. I’m also fluent in both English and Spanish, so I’m happy to offer bilingual support if needed. I’m available after 5:30 pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends, and I’d be thrilled to connect with you and your family! (PS: I have been Garda Vetted, as required by my masters program!
