Kia ora host families! My name is Tess, I'm 26 and I come from the beautiful New Zealand. I'm looking for a host family in Dublin from January for 6-8 months. I have worked in the youth sector for the past 7 years, mainly working in schools, boarding houses and the outdoor sector. I have predominantly worked with 12-18 year olds but have worked with younger children too, as well as essentially being an Au Pair for my brother with my niece and nephew from birth through to now (8 and 6 respectively) and being very present in the lives of my extended families kids too. I have done lots of training for my work, including an Undergrad Diploma in Psychology, Safeguarding Children and Level 2 First Aid. I have been police vetted multiple times (am happy to do Garda vetting as well) as well as a full and clean driver's license with lots of experience, including driving 12 seater vans with kids on NZ roads! I'm warm, bubbly, kind, have initiative, and not afraid to get stuck in. I have no worries about keeping a house clean and am happy to help out in any way needed. I love to cook and it's how I spend most of my free time. I love to walk in the hills with my dogs and am a very big music fan which is a big reason for wanting to come to Ireland! I also am interested in learning Gaeilge as I love the language revival movement that's similar to NZ with Te Reo Māori which I'm currently learning. I really look forward to connecting with you!
