I am a 22 years old, who has a passion with working with children. I have been minding/babysitting children since I have been sixteen, with the children ranging from the ages of 1-12 years old. Specifically, I minded a baby of 12 months old, 4 days a week, looking after her from 8:30 am to 5pm each day.I had the responsibility of changing nappies, preparing meals, nap/bedtime, entertaining/stimulating the baby throughout the day with appropriate activities, and bringing her outs for walks and to the playground! I have constantly surrounded my working environment based on working with children of all ages. I understand how vulnerable and innocent children are and I find joy in seeing them develop, learn and grow into the best versions of themselves. I also have past work experience involves working in a Deis school with children who struggle with learning.(I can provide references from my previous experience ). I would like to describe myself as a patient, confident, kind, understanding, intelligent and empathetic person. I am very creative and make the most out of what I am given. I am studying Law and Languages in University at the moment. I was previously studying Nursing, which I specifically wanted to specialise in paediatric nursing but unfortunately that did not go to plan. However, that did not stop me from still working with children which is one of my passions. I completed a First Aid course which I hope would make parents feel reassured. I completed all 1st, 2nd and 3rd level education in Ireland. My first language is English. I also have basic/intermediate French. As mentioned, I care about children. I realise how innocent and vulnerable children are and how important it is to make sure that they are surrounded by a positive and gentle environment.
