Hi, I'm Gabrielle. I recently took a 6 month career break from my full time position as an events planner and I am looking for some temporary work during this time. As well as being an extremely professional, reliable and organized individual, skills that I have honed in my current role, I also have a wealth of experience with children of varying ages. I worked as a teacher in Toulouse, France for 3 years teaching English to chidren aged 3-18. I also worked a summer in Italy where I also taught English to primary school aged children through a didacric approach of games and sporting activities. Finally, I did a winter and summer season in the French Alps where I worked in the baby club for Club Med with children aged 18 months-3 years. I have very fond memories of the years of babysitting I did in my teenage years for a lovely family of 3 boys who I babysat from when the youngest was 3, through to their early teens. I am from a large family and am still regularly around kids and babies of extended family and friends and am always willing to roll up my sleeves and get involved. I have just returned from a volunteer project in Costa Rica where my host family had a six year old daughter. After school she would regularly come by the hotel and where we would play hours of card and board games and hide and seek. I believe in creative play with children and am really not a fan of screens where they can be avoided. As mentioned I would only be available on a temporary basis from now until November. This time frame is somewhat flexible.
