I’m a homemaker and homeschooler to my kids aged 9 and 7, whilst my little boy aged 3 by December will go to preschool for the next 2 years. My home is a joyful place to be where children can find play corners here and there with a big selection of wooden toys, children books and play materials. Screen time is restricted and preferably avoid in order to give children plenty time of unstructured playtime. We do arts and crafts twice a week where my kitchen becomes that messy place, sometimes we cook together simple things like pancakes or sushi rolls, and afterwards we can all clean together. I love cooking and I care a lot about what I put on the table, we try to stick to our Mediterranean diet full of vegetables, fruits, pulses, lots of herbs and every now and then meat, and we don’t find it difficult accommodating to a gluten and/or dairy free diets. If we are after a crazy day of going outs then it’s pizza or pasta time! I have been childminding since 2010 in Ireland and I have outstanding references. My last job was with a little baby and it finished after 18 months. I’m Garda vetted and due to our children being homeschooled, TULSA has come to our home to check this an appropriate and safe place for children to learn and be happy. I have also completed the course “Creativity and Change” in MTU in 2021 as a way to keep going with my studies and reflect it back to my children. Patience is definitely the corner stone of my work as a mother of 3, a childminder and a homeschooler. My husband helps a lot around the house and with the kids when he is available, this makes life easier on everyone. While I also love time for myself and my arts, I find joy in observing how kids see the world, how they play and how they interact between each other; so be reassured your children will be in a caring and loving environment with us. We live in a neighbourhood full of children, we have a garden with playhouse and sandpit and we have a god named Diesel who is friendly and well used to children, he is a mix between an English setter and a Collie.
