Hello, my name is Roberta Gomes, I'm 20 years old, I'm Brazilian and I have a C1 level of English. My love for children began while I was still a child. I come from a very big family and all 14 of my uncles have children and we grew up together. I am currently in the process of graduating in literature and literacy processes in both English and Portuguese. During the pandemic, I worked as a babysitter in a family home for a long time, so I have some kind of experience: ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, providing age-appropriate activities and entertainment, playing games, reading and my favorite one, drawing. Preparing meals and snacks, i’m very good cooking, it’s my favourite hobby, following routines and instructions, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and i always have a very good communication with parents or guardians. I’m a very patient and good-tempered person. I also interned in kindergartens and there were months of a lot of learning. My duties were greeting each child with a smile and make them feel comfortable and safe in the classroom, establish clear and consistent rules that are age-appropriate, but also delivered with kindness and understanding, praise good behavior and effort, rather than dwelling on mistakes.
