Be Warned
Dara contacted me looking to mind our dogs. She met the dogs several times prior to minding them and all was great. We needed someone to stay overnight to mind our dogs later this month and we set up a trial day for 8th Feb. Prior to that day, we discussed fees and, based on the current going rate for dog sitting, we offered her €60 for a ten hour day and the same for an overnight. Rates tend to go from €35-€70 for overnights. She agreed and we didn't talk about money again. Today, out of the blue, 9 days before the date, Dara has told me she wants at least €10 per hour for the overnight. That amounts to €240, which may make her the most expensive dog minder in Ireland. It's so ridiculously high it would be funny if we weren't now desperately trying to find someone else at short notice that we can trust. I can't recommend Dara due to this
