I love pets and have had cats most of my married life. We had a big mixed breed dog for 10 years, but alas he contacted cancer and died. I minded my daughter's Labrador for two years from 8am to 6pm while she worked. I took him out twice a day to exercise him. I am very conscious animals need love, attention, good diets and exercise in order to thrive.
