I'm a 37 year old married woman who has no children of my own however I have 15 neices, nephews, god children and younger cousin that I've grown up taken care of. I really enjoy spending my time with children as I find it fascinating how quick they grow and learn; they are funny and fearless and full of energy and adventure. Seeing their face when I read a book and do the voices and sound effects watching them being transformed to a world of make believe is magical. I love to teach them and be taught by them. A simple walk in the Park is made so exciting it's like we are climbing everest. I like to help them learn practical skills age appropriate of course and encourage them to be self sificiant as I feel it helps grow self esteem and confidence. I believe children are our future and therefore deserve to be nurtured; don't get me wrongbl I'm no pushover either I just find my way of discipline works, I first listen to the child be it a 2yo toddler, 11yo preteen or a rebellious 14 year old. I find most children's bad behaviour and anger comes from frustration and alot ofvthe times they just want to be heard and aklcknowleged, we need to remember although they haven't been in earth or had as many experiences they are still human with all the emotions we feel. We are taking care of children but we are raising young men and women to fit into society and contribute to the world we share.
