I had my first experience as a childminder in Brazil, where I took care of two adorable boys after school. My tasks at home were to make dinner, play, help with homework and stay with them until their mother got home. I've lived in Ireland for almost two years, and I started working as a minder a year ago. The first family was 4 children, 9, 7, 5 and 3. Due to the long distance, I had to change family to one that was closer. In this last family I took care of two children, a girl aged 7 and a boy aged 4. I picked them both up from school at a short walking distance from the house, took them to the playground, helped with homework, gave them snacks, played, some activities outside like going to the library, cinema, parks further away, they loved going out for a bike ride, art & craft, reading, keeping the house organized and preparing dinner. Once I started college in September, I can no longer fulfill the workload according to the family's needs, so I'm looking for a new family, where I can help with the care the family needs. As the family trusted me a lot, they referred me to a relative, where I also had the experience of caring for a lovely 15-month-old girl for a period of time. I have letters of reference from the families I worked for.
