I am a 25 year old girl who has been an AuPair in Italy and Ireland. I have worked and been a volunteer for several years in NGOs, as a minder, babysitter and nanny, and also I have given private lessons of English, Spanish, History of Art and Maths to children of different ages, so I know quite well how to care people and, above all, kids. Besides that, I have also worked as a care and personal assistant for the Irish Wheelchair Assiciation for a man on his 30s, and collaborated as a volunteer in hospitals in my hometown with old and disabled people. I would not only like to take care of them, I would love to learn from them, listen and understand them, as well as empathise and be able to teach them about my culture, take them to museums or teach them about film, literature, art and music. I don't just want to stick to what an minder job would be like; I would like to learn from the children and I would like them to learn from me as well. Also, of course, I would like to learn about the culture, language and customs of the family I would be working with. I speak several languages, six to be precise. These are: Spanish, Basque, English, German, French and a little bit of Japanese. I am also learning a little Korean and Italian on my own, but I cannot consider it languages that I speak fluently.
