Hey there, my name is Ciara and I am a bubbly, fun 26 year old from Cork :) I am qualified in Recreation and Leisure Management and currently working in a big gym in Cork City. I am a loving and caring individual and I love to help others. I have great and long term experience both babysitting a full time child minding. I have lots of younger cousins and family friends, so I have been babysitting regularly since I was 16 years old. I have minded children from all ages, young babies right up to young teenagers. I also have experience in overnight stays while babysitting. During lockdown I was a full time nanny for four children, both their parents are full time doctors. They're ages ranged from 9 years old to 14 years old. This was Monday - Friday for full days and consisted of home schooling, breakfast , lunch & dinner. Bath times and music practice, while also getting in some outdoor time and exercise. When schools reopened I was still minding the kids so this ran into school runs and dropping to and collecting from activities and appointments eg Dental appointments. I also had the pleasure of minding the kids a few weekend evenings on the run up to Christmas so we were able to wind down from the usual routine of getting homework and music practice done and we were able to watch movies and do some Christmas arts and crafts. I love to care and mind others. A couple of years ago, I used to care for and visit a family friend in a Cork nursing home - our friends live in Dublin so were unable to visit as much as they would have liked to. I called up a few times a week, this consisted of calling up for lunch and/or dinner time. I would help her eat and we would hangout for a while after, either outdoors or watching the soaps or catching up on her favorite magazines. Toilet breaks and helping in and out of bed. This experience truly opened my eyes to how much I want to be a career and I now have plans to study and gain experience in Social Care to begin and pursue my career in this field. I have completed all my college work experience in specialist schools for students with physical and multiple disabilities. This has included one to one classes for a module project while also visiting Cork schools and helping with physio and class time. I have both babysat, cared for and worked in a professional setting with children of all ages and capabilities and I have truly loved every experience. I love going the extra mile to bring excitement to babysitting and making the experience fun and relatable for the children. I can provide references and garda vetting. I am available mid week evening, and weekend day and nights. I have a full, clean driving license so should you ever require day babysitting I would love to venture out to a park or for a walk.
