Hi, my name is Deirdre. I have worked in a caring capacity in various settings, both paid and voluntary over the years. I have experience with all age groups, ranging from children in a residential setting, children in the early years sector, special needs, youth work with young adults in care, adults and older adults with intellectual disabilities in residential care. More recently I have graduated with a degree in Occupational Studies, following clinical placements within various clinical settings working with a variety of age groups and various conditions including, dementia, alzheimers, stroke, brain injury to name but a few. I particularly enjoyed my time working with the elderly. I am an advocate for helping older adults to continue living their best life, doing what is meaningful to them, from the comfort of their own home. I am respectful, emphatic and attentive to their needs. I am a cheerful, positive, conscientious individual with a good sense of humor and a 'can do' attitude.
