Hi, I'm Catherine and I'm a 35 year old former librarian living in Dublin. At the moment I am caring for my father who has a rare form of dementia. I have been doing this on and off for the last five years, full time since April this year. My experience is varied and includes personal care, meal preparation, activity planning and companionship. I am also tech support. I would be a good carer for someone looking for occasional support/companionship or to deal with practical elements like activities or sourcing new things to do. One of my Dad's favourite things to do is go for coffee and I have had great fun finding us new places to go. My strengths are working with individuals to explore what they would like to do as well as practical tasks like housekeeping, organisation and adapting to new requirements. My weakest area is chatting about things I'm not familiar with and I find myself relying on Google for things like football...
