Hi, I am a qualified care assistant who has experience working with agency, nursing home, private home care, i nursed my father for over 15 years by myself whilst raising a child who is now an adult, a'd went to night school to get my qualifications, I adore the elderly as I have huge empathy towards each client, the stories, the different personalities, strengths. I do not work in nursing homes anymore due to the fact I like to give 100 care to each patient not just wash, dress, feed a client. I believe each client has different needs that should be met daily. My experience has thought me one to one care is what suits me best personally. I have sat with many patients throughout their last moments and I fully believe they felt love , care and comfort not alone, scared or ignored. I left work feeling very proud of how I managed the and of life process which is never easy. I feel our elderly is being forgotten, they are our present and history and I have learnt so much from each patient, may it be tips on completing active daily living tacks independently, through encouragement, praise, kindness and support. Most importantly to show the person they matter, their opinions are heard and valued. Small note i do not drive so work in Newbridge is most suitable
