A little bit about me, I began minding children in my teens babysitting around Delgany, my local community. Then I took up my first part time job during my junior cert, my first full time job after my leaving cert and have been taking wonderful care of children ever since. I genuinely adore working with children, being a part of their development and watching them and their personalities grow and develop is an amazing thing to be a part of. It’s immensely rewarding to work a job where you create bonds and friendships with each child you come to love and know. I am very warm, caring, organized and reliable with excellent standards. While being very responsible I am also a child at heart and enjoy being silly and playing with the children I mind. It’s important to me to make everyone feel secure and safe while also ensuring they have lots of fun. I make sure to be highly interactive and energetic, so they learn, laugh, and enjoy their time with me. I study English literature with creative writing at University College Dublin, so I am especially fond of reading, making up stories, and games for the children to stimulate their imaginations. I am currently working on a children’s book. However, my studies have surpassed the need to be on campus as my final two years entail me writing a book which I can do mainly in my own time which allows me to balance studies and work well. I’m available on a live-out basis. Looking to work in partnership with a reputable family and take responsibility for the safety and development of their children. I have worked with children ages newborn to twelve years old. My objective is to provide a loving caring environment and apply my skills to their development. Some of my skills include the ability to work with more than one child at a time, having a great understanding of kids’ emotions and behaviours, knowledge and experience in baby foods and clothes, the ability to handle stress and work around the clock.
