Having spent 20+ years working in corporate finance roles I decided in 2019 to change careers and to do something I am genuinely passionate about. I completed the QQI L5 Healthcare Assistant course in Oct'19 passing with a Distinction, and have spent 6 months working in a nursing home gaining valuable experience. I am passionate about caring for the elderly and get genuine satisfaction and a sense of reward never experienced in my previous career. I love spending time talking to my clients acknowledging that loneliness is often their biggest fear. Taking the time to get to know them personally allows me to build a bonding relationship of companionship and trust. I love to cook and nothing gives me more pleasure than preparing nourishing food that I would like to share with my clients. I am also studying to be a Neuromuscular Therapist and hope one day to open my own clinic. I am a father of 3 young boys and a teenage girl. All actively involved in sport, I am a coach and mentor with the local GAA club and help out with my kids teams.
