Full time health Care Assistant with expertise and or experience in epilepsy care, using adaptive mobility equipment and therapeutic mobility support such as physio and rehabilitation exercise regimes. A qualification in physiotherapy, physical education, personal training etc., a significant advantage Essential Requirements: Minimum of three years experience in physical training and interventions or physical education training or physio therapy assistance and or implementing therapeutic mobility supports Suitable candidates will need to be sufficiently physically fit to provide physical support to an adult. Minimum of a FETAC Level 5 or equivalent in a related qualification Experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder Full clean driving licence Experience with active epilepsy The job involves: (not exhaustive list) Caring for a dependent person who has high physical support needs Implementing a bespoke physical programme throughout the day Providing support for all personal care needs, dressing, personal hygiene, toileting etc. Driving to appointments Developing a rapport with the person who has autism, anxiety and seizure active epilepsy Carry out training and learning programmes with the client Provide attention, support and companionship Prepare meals for the client and assist at meal time Support the client in developing and maintaining their participation in activities of daily living Keep daily records and reports. Liaise with other support staff Accompany the client to appointments and activities in the community Participate in training Appointment subject to satisfactory references, medical and Garda vetting.
