Hi There! :) We (Myself, Aimee and my partner Clifford) are looking for someone to come and take care of our gorgeous 10 month old baby girl. Her name is Annabelle and she is such a lovely fun, bright baby. She can already clap and wave and knows how to make everyone smile. We are looking for somebody to live with us and cover a roster that will include myself and Clifford working, going to the gym and some socialising. So the ideal candidate will be flexible in terms of the hours they can work. It will be 40 hours per week spaced over changing hours from week to week. The position will begin in February (or latest March) and will run for a year or longer if it is a suitable match. Due to the nature of the role, we will only consider applicants already living in Ireland so that we can meet in person for interviews. Finding the right match for our family is really important for us. We are looking for somebody who: -Has close to perfect English -Will fulfil a Nanny role during the working hours, but also has their own activities outside of the home during the hours they are not working as much as possible so that we can also enjoy some family only time. Ideally you already have a community in Dublin. - Has experience with little babies - Is punctual, and can follow directions and is able to think independently too. - Can cook, mostly for the baby but also generally to have some interest and ability. - Understands boundaries within the home and the need for privacy - this goes both ways of course. - Is strong, fit and healthy as Annabelle is getting bigger and requires energy. - Is content to be in the house alone, or with any one member of the family. We mention this because we do trips as a family only sometimes, or either myself or Cliff will go alone or with the baby so feeling secure in the home is required. - Someone fun, who likes to dance with the baby and play silly games, and lots of times we have family over with their kids, so someone who likes lots of kids around is a great match. - Is able to clean, do laundry (for the baby), and generally is not shy to help around the house (we have a very regular cleaner so its not a big focus but I consider it respectful that everyone helps out) such as a quick tidy in the hallway or changing the bins or toilet roll. A little about us: I'm an outgoing, chatty and a bit bossy (ooops!) business owner with two coffee shops and looking to grow my business. I love to dance in the kitchen with Annabelle, cook, focus on work and meeting up with family and friends. I have a lot of experiencing hiring people for the coffee shops so hopefully I can be a good communicator and a good friend to the Nanny while we all learn all the things about the baby life. Im a real people person, but sometimes work is so social that at home (especially in the morning) I can need just some space to wind down. Cliff is a little more on the serious side, and he is an Engineer who also deals with property. He will be less chatty but he is also the one to try to make everyone happy in his own way. He is a wonderful Dad, and he is happiest when he's had a good session at the gym or is planning something new for his work. He sings and plays guitar as his special interest and is an introverted personality with everyone (except Annabelle). As a family, we are figuring things out bit by bit - but we are dedicated to our baby and our businesss and we REALLY value having the right person in our home to accommodate us being able to have a harmonious life outside the home too. You will be valued. You will: -have your own bedroom on the top floor beside the guest room, so also use of the en suite bathroom in the guest room unless we have guests. Then you will use the shared bathroom on the first floor. -be paid approx €1000 per month after tax in exchange for 40 hours and your room and food. -be treated with respect in the home and will be encouraged to communicate with me to keep striving for the best arrangement -be given the delicious cooking that I love to provide a couple of times a week, otherwise will be able to make your own food and we'll provide the ingredients for that -have access to your own TV/Sofa in the guest room if you want it, a work desk in your own room etc, -be living in a lovely big family home in a leafy suburb close to Sandymount village and strand/beach. -might be attending some form of education, we are open to students but your schedule in the home would need to be the priority for us. The duties you'll be required to do will be looking after Annabelle, teaching her things, bringing her for walks, maybe for swimming lessons, gleaning her clothes, making her meals, putting her to bed, giving her a daily bath, reading her books and most importantly being her friend. Some days will be long, others will be shorter - you need to be able to handle things with responsibility. We have had a live in Au Pair since May for Annabelle which has been a great success and she is wonderful with Annabelle so we do have experience now in this area.
