We are a busy couple, both working fulltime, with an active family of two school going children, a toddler and a medium sized dog. We are looking for a part-time childminder / nanny from Monday to Friday (no weekends) between the hours of 1pm and 6pm, starting from the end of February 2025. We live in Ballsbridge and are walking distance from the bus, Dart and Luas lines. We are a 25 minute walk from Grafton Street. Your responsibilities will include caring for the three children, aged 2, 8 and 10 years old. The job involves arriving at 1pm, to collect the 2 year old from Montessori school, the older two children from their respective primary schools, and to encourage the older two children to complete their homework. The older two children are in school from 9am until 2.30/4pm, with some extracurricular activities in the evenings. You will be caring for the 2 year old, ensuring that she is fed, changed/clean, has her short afternoon nap, and is interacted with and entertained during the evening. In the evenings, the older two children enjoy playing in the garden, doing arts and crafts or playing board games. The children do not watch television or to use computer games during the weekdays. You will not be expected to cook or clean. We are looking for somebody who loves children, someone who is fun and energetic, yet gentle, caring and kind. We need the person to be safety conscious, interested in education, discrete, a self-starter, with good time management and has high attention to detail. Ideally the person caring for our children would have excellent English, and would be loving and kind towards our children. We want to trust our childminder to meet the children's needs as those needs arise. We would require a PPS number for tax registration purposes, Garda vetting clearance and a valid EU/EEA passport or right to work permit. We will also require two references.
