The position involves providing care for an elderly man with Parkinson's Disease who resides in his own home. He is unable to communicate verbally, and he uses a variety of communication aids and assistive technology to communicate. He is confined to a wheelchair and a Sara Steady hoist is used to assist with transferring him from the bed to the chair and vice versa.****** *****We are seeking a carer or carers available over the weekend to relieve two live-in day/night carers. ***** ****Possible weekend shifts***** Option 1. Saturday/Sunday day shifts only - Saturday 8am - 8pm and Sunday 8am - 8pm****** Option 2. Saturday start 8am - 11:30pm Overnight stay (Saturday/Sunday) Sunday start 8am - 8pm (Preferable)****** Option 3. Weekend: Arrive Friday night start 5pm (or 6pm) - 11:30pm, stay overnight (Friday/Saturday), Saturday morning start 8am - 11:30pm, stay overnight (Saturday/Sunday), Sunday start 8am and finish at 5pm Sunday evening. ****Alternative Weekend shifts shared with another relief carer.***** ****Driving license to drive in Ireland required.**** Immediate start**** *******We also welcome hearing from carers interested in live-in position weekday shift Monday to Friday.
