I am a language teacher from France and I am in Ireland for the school year with my 15 year-old daughter. Our objective is for her to improve her English while attending school in Drogheda. Since we are only staying for the academic year, it is not practical for me to go through the lengthy process of having my French teaching qualifications officially recognized in Ireland. This is why I am looking for a job as a caregiver. Although I have no formal qualifications or professional experience in care work, I have always been a compassionate and attentive person. I can also rely on my dedication and on my rich life experience (as a mother of three, a daughter to elderly parents, and a teacher) to do well in care. I simply can't picture myself having a job that is not meaningful.
