About CaraghanBack to Top
I am a current Kindergarten Teacher about to begin a Work Holiday Visa in Ireland. In my classroom, I implement classroom strategies, lessons, and programs in phonics, early reading, and literacy. I am passionate about reading and writing and pursued my interests at Boston University where I studied Journalism and the University of San Francisco where I received my Master of Fine Arts in Writing. I am a passionate and attentive teacher who is deeply committed to understanding the individual needs of my students and cultivating an environment where they feel encouraged to be curious and supported enough to display confidence in their young lives. I began working with children as a Rowing Instructor at the Duxbury Bay Maritime School in Massachusetts during the summer of my junior year at Boston University. I feel that my approachability and eagerness to work on each child’s growth during this time was reflected in my students' excitement about coming to camp each day. This experience fulfilled my desire to serve young members of my community and deepened my aspirations to work in education and childcare. I am hoping to work in childcare while I am in Ireland for the year because I am certain that the care and dedication that I show my the students will enable your children to flourish. I feel confident that my previous experiences paired with my interest in reading and passion for every child's development will compliment the childcare professional that you seek. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to having the opportunity to learn more about your family and childcare needs.
