Hi, I'm Denise! I'm an international student at TUS, originally from Italy, and dogs have honestly always been one of the biggest loves of my life. I have two dogs of my own back home, a 7-year-old Akita Inu and a 4-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier (UKC Red Nose). I've also looked after other people's dogs over the years, including an American Staffordshire Terrier, a Pomeranian and a Toy Poodle, so whether it's a big, strong breed or a small one, I'm comfortable with all of them. Over the past four years I've done several dog training courses in Italy, including preparation for the CAE 1 (a basic obedience and behaviour certification), so beyond just loving dogs, I actually understand how to read them, handle them calmly and keep them safe and happy. I'm also great with children: I worked as a babysitter for about 5 years and spent time teaching to children aged 0-5 in a nursery school, so I know how to be patient, attentive and reliable with all kinds of energy levels, on two legs or four! If you have a family with both kids and a dog running around, that's honestly my favourite kind of chaos. Whoever I look after will get all the love, patience and attention I'd give my own dogs.
