Hi, I’m Júlia! I’m an experienced educator with more than four years of professional experience in education in Brazil, combined with hands-on childcare experience here in Ireland. My background in education goes beyond the classroom. I worked as a teacher and Pedagogical Coordinator for Internationalisation at Marist School, a highly respected educational organisation with a strong international presence, including institutions in Europe and Ireland. In these roles, I worked closely with children and families, developed educational projects and supported students’ academic, personal and social development. Working in education taught me that looking after children is not simply about keeping them safe and entertained. It is about understanding who they are, recognising their individual needs and creating an environment where they can feel secure, confident and encouraged to grow. I have a particular passion for creating meaningful experiences for children, from helping with homework and developing their independence to coming up with creative activities, having conversations about their interests or simply making an ordinary afternoon feel special. Since moving to Ireland, I have also gained five months of professional experience working with an Irish family already, caring for three school-aged children and becoming familiar with Irish family routines, expectations and day-to-day life. This experience has been incredibly valuable because it allowed me to bring my educational background into a family setting while gaining practical experience within the Irish childcare environment. I’m now continuing to build my career in childcare in Ireland. My Garda Vetting is currently in progress, and I will soon begin a QQI Level 5 Early Learning and Care course to further strengthen my knowledge of early learning and child development. I believe great childcare is a combination of warmth, structure, responsibility and genuine connection. I want children to feel safe and listened to, while also encouraging them to become more independent, curious and confident. Ultimately, I’m looking to become more than someone who looks after your children while you are away. I want to be someone your family can genuinely trust and your children can feel happy, comfortable and excited to spend time with. 🤍
