Hello! My name is Débora, I am 29 years old and I am a mother to a lovely 7-year-old daughter. I would describe myself as a calm and friendly person. At first, I can be a little introverted, but once I get to know someone and feel comfortable, I become much more communicative. I enjoy having conversations, sharing stories and spending quality time with people. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, reading mystery and fantasy books, and travelling. I also enjoy simple moments, such as having a nice conversation over a cup of coffee or relaxing at home watching a series on Disney+ or Prime Video with a sweet treat. I enjoy cooking and baking, especially cookies, cheese bread and desserts. I also love spending time with my daughter, and one of our favourite activities is going for walks in the park together. One of my favourite memories from childhood is spending weekends with my grandfather. After dinner, we would sit together and watch TV, but we often spent more time talking about what we were watching. My grandfather loved telling stories — in Brazil, we often call this “telling cases”, sharing stories and memories from our lives. These conversations are very special to me and taught me how valuable it is to listen to older people and learn from their experiences. This is one of the reasons why I would like to work with elderly people. I believe they have so much wisdom, life experience and many stories to share. I understand that there may come a time when people need a little extra help, support and companionship. For me, caring for an elderly person is not only about helping with daily activities. Sometimes, having someone to talk to, share a coffee with, go for a walk, watch TV together or simply spend time with can make a real difference in someone's day. I am still at the beginning of my journey in elderly care, but I am willing to learn, work hard and always do my best. I would love the opportunity to support someone with kindness, respect and good company, while also learning from their life experiences.
