My name is Rachel I’m 23 years old, based In Mitchelstown. I am a patient, and dedicated individual I just completed my QQI Level 5 qualification in Special Needs Assisting. I am passionate about supporting children in reaching their full potential by providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where they feel valued, encouraged, and understood. I grew up in a large family, while caring for and babysitting my younger cousins from a young age. This experience gave me a genuine love for working with children and helped me develop patience, responsibility, and confidence in meeting the needs of children of different ages and personalities. Alongside my family experience, I have gained valuable hands-on experience through my work placement in a primary school, where I supported children with additional needs, including those with autism and learning difficulties. I have also worked with children in a summer camp setting, planning activities, teaching horse riding, and encouraging confidence, teamwork, and independence in a fun and supportive environment. I pride myself on building positive relationships with children and their families through kindness, clear communication, and reliability. My goal is always to provide high-quality, child-centred care that supports each child’s individual needs while creating a positive and enjoyable experience for them each day.
