My name is Aoibhe Colfer, and I have completed a NFQ level 5 and 6 children with additional needs/special needs with Chevron College. I have completed 60 hours of work experience in my local primary school, Danescastle National School and I also sub in this school whenever they need me. Within completing my work experience hours, I worked with students who have learning difficulties and special needs difficulties resulting in aiding assistance. I have gained invaluable experience while working within this school environment. I have also been subbing in Barntown National School since January of this year, since then I have developed my skills massively. I have supported children with feeding and toileting as well as supporting children with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy and epilepsy. I develop strong relationships with the children so they feel safe and supported with me. I would consider myself to be highly motivated and driven and I am always eager to learn more. I have a love of assisting students with academic needs and special needs and I feel that it is extremely rewarding. I believe that my skills, and this work experience would meet your expectations as I am reliable, hardworking, highly motivated and determined.
