Hello, my name is Helena. Working with children has always been my passion. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to dedicate my career to supporting children's learning and development. For this reason, I completed a five-year Double Degree in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education. I also specialised in Special Educational Needs, which has given me the skills and understanding to support each child's individual needs and help them thrive. Almost three years ago, I moved to Dublin to begin an international experience as an au pair. During that year, I became part of an Irish family, caring for their children and supporting them in their daily routines. This experience gave me valuable insight into family life and helped me understand the trust parents place in someone who cares for their children. For the past almost two years, I have been working in a crèche, where I support children of different ages in their learning, development and emotional wellbeing. Every day reinforces how much I enjoy creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow with confidence. As a childminder, my priority is to ensure that children feel safe, happy, loved and valued. I understand that choosing someone to care for your child is one of the most important decisions a parent can make, which is why I strive to build strong relationships based on trust, communication and mutual respect with every family I work with.
