My name is Carolann and I am an experienced, caring and fully qualified childminder. I hold a FETAC Level 5 qualification in Childcare with Special Needs and Drama, which I completed in 2019 at Ormonde College of Further Education with full distinctions. Over the past number of years, I have been caring full-time for my three children (aged 9, 6, and 3), giving me strong hands-on experience in nurturing, establishing routines, and supporting children’s emotional and developmental needs. My eldest daughter has Generalised Epilepsy and will be ten years seizure-free this June. Supporting her has given me valuable experience and confidence in caring for children with additional needs. I have also worked in a crèche setting, where I gained practical experience in supporting children within an early years environment. In addition, I am a past member of the Irish Red Cross and have completed CFR and EFR training, including the use of an AED. I am warm, reliable and patient, and I aim to create a safe, caring and positive environment where children feel secure, supported and happy. Availability: I am available 3 days per week during school holidays from 9.30 am to 4.00pm . Please feel free to message me to discuss availability and your specific requirements. Location: Childminding will take place in my own home, where my own children will also be present, creating a friendly and homely environment. Activities: I provide a variety of age-appropriate, engaging activities including arts and crafts, sensory and playdough activities, outdoor walks, story time, and play-based learning. I focus on encouraging creativity, social skills, independence, and overall development in a fun and nurturing setting.
