Hello! My name is Cristina Fuentes, and I'm an experienced childcare professional and English and Spanish teacher with over 11 years of experience working with children of different ages. I genuinely love helping children learn, grow, and feel happy, safe, and supported. My childcare journey in Ireland began four years ago when I worked as an Au Pair for a wonderful family in Slane, caring for two little ones who were just 8 months and 2 years old when I joined them. I stayed with the family for almost a year, and it remains one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. We built a very close bond, and we are still in touch today. I also took great pride in keeping the house clean, organised, and running smoothly. I have an excellent reference from the family, who would be happy to share their experience with me. Afterwards, I moved to Dublin and worked for a year as a Room Leader in a Montessori school, caring for children of different ages. This role strengthened my childcare skills, as well as my ability to create engaging activities, support children's emotional and educational development, communicate with families, and provide a safe, nurturing environment. For the past few years, I have been working as an English and Spanish teacher with both children and adults, continuing to develop my communication and educational skills. However, I truly miss the close relationships that come with working alongside a family, and I'm now looking for a long-term nanny position where I can become someone parents trust and children feel comfortable with. I would describe myself as warm, patient, reliable, organised, and caring. I love spending time outdoors, doing arts and crafts, reading stories, playing games, encouraging creativity, and helping children learn through fun everyday experiences. I'm also happy to help with cooking, light household duties, and keeping the home tidy and organised.
