Hi there! :) I have finished my final year in college and am set to undertake my masters in education this September. I have been working as a health care assistant on the weekends for almost 1 year and a half now. I enjoy my job as I get to build a relationship with set clients and see them most weekends. I enjoy the chats also with them too (which is the best part of my job!). As part of my job, I have completed the modules ‘Care of the Older Person’ and ‘Care Skills’ as part of my QQI Level 5 certification. I feel that my HCA job and this additional training has helped shape my personality today. I also have experience with children, providing tennis coaching during the summers from [removed] to the ages of 8-16. I would prefer to gain some experience in childminding than in elderly care since I hope to one day become a secondary school teacher! All the best :)
