Hello! We are seeking a weekday childminder for our two daughters, aged 7 and 10, at our home in Ranelagh. This is a long term position starting as soon as possible. Hours: 15-25 hours / week, depending on your preferences. Core Hours: The minimum we will require is 2.30pm - 5.30pm every day of the week. Add-on hours include: starting earlier to make lunch for the family 2-3 days a week (in advance of school pick up), and staying longer one evening a week (til 8 - 9pm). We have a degree of flexibility – both in terms of hours and days, so please get in touch if you are otherwise a fit. Pay + Holidays: This will be a competitively paid position for the right person, with a rate of €20 per hour with potential for a higher rate for highly experienced candidates. We will offer paid bank holidays and 20 days of paid holidays per year. Key responsibilities: - Picking up girls from school - Preparing meals - Outdoor activity including park / playground / garden activities - Taking girls to after school activities (driving not required) - Overseeing homework - Development and learning, playing and having fun - Facilitating playdates - other children from school may come to visit some days and vice-versa, - Some light housework, primarily tidying up after lunch and play, rinsing kids' lunchboxes, folding kids’ laundry and helping them keep their bedrooms tidy. We are seeking someone who is responsible, committed, punctual, organised, energetic, and who has initiative. This will include organising some activities - the girls love art, and like visiting the nearby playgrounds all year around. We are seeking a minimum of 2 years’ experience of childminding; a childcare qualification is a plus, and we will ask to check references without exception.
