I am looking for elderly care for my father 2 days a week. 1-2 hours each day. Hours/days flexible. Located in Turners Cross. Companionship is the main goal, he often mentions he feels lonely since my mother passed away 2 years ago. Picking up fresh milk/bread/cigarettes when needed. He has meals on wheels for main meals. Preparing light meals and encouraging him to eat. Usually boiled egg and toast. Potentially take him to the odd appointment/out for a drive for change of scenery. He has poor mobility he uses a walker and nervous on his feet. Encourage personal hygiene. Help with beard trim if needed. The ideal person for this role would be understanding of low mood/depression post loss of spouse. For transparency purposes he is a smoker and is also fond of a drink especially when feeling low. Not aggressive but may be emotional. Garda vetted/past references needed please.
