We are looking for a kind, reliable, and compassionate carer to provide day-to-day support and companionship for our mum, who is living with dementia. Our mum recently lost her husband in November and would benefit from the company of someone who can help her maintain her independence, routine, and enjoyment of daily life. About Mum Friendly, upbeat, and kind-natured Loves spending time with her grandchildren Enjoys nature, walks, and being outdoors Has two beloved dogs Enjoys going out for a cup of tea and a chat Mobile around the house but may require wheelchair when out and about Needs help getting into and out of the car and requires support in navigating unfamiliar environments Does vape, there is an air filter extractor used in the kitchen for the vape smoke Support Required We are looking for someone who can: Provide companionship and emotional support Help with orientation and gentle reminders throughout the day Prepare meals, snacks, and drinks. She can eat independently once food is prepared Assist with getting dressed and bathing Prompt and remind her to take medication Encourage activities and outings she enjoys Accompany her on walks or trips for tea and social interaction Help maintain a positive daily routine Mum can use the bathroom independently Ideal Person We would love to find someone who is: Patient, caring, and understanding Experienced with dementia care (preferred) Friendly and chatty Reliable and trustworthy Happy to support an active and sociable older lady If you are interested in helping Mum continue to enjoy life with dignity, companionship, and support, we would love to hear from you.
