I have an advert up for a childminder, but based on general experience, it is hard to find somebody willing to do afternoons after-school, so I am wondering if perhaps an au pair is better suited. My little girl has just turned 8, she is smart, super creative, happy and loves running wild outdoors (we live near Rathdrum) or playing imaginatively with arts & crafts, in the kitchen making things - potions and spells are the big thing right now. I work f/t in HE transformation design, and I need help so that I can do that - I don't need to be on-site all the time, but I do need to do some full days working (hence initially looking for childminders).
