Part-Time Childminder/Nanny Wanted (Gort/Peterswell Area) We are a couple with a young family who moved to the Peterswell area, near Gort, earlier this year. I am a full-time researcher at the University of Limerick and work from home three days a week, and my husband is a freelance photographer. We have two wonderful boys, aged 1 and 4½. We are looking for an experienced, practical, kind-hearted and good-humoured childminder or nanny to care for our youngest son for two days during the week, in our home. The hours would be approximately 8.30am to 3pm Tuesday and Thursday, although these may vary slightly depending on our family's needs. Our one-year-old is a happy, active and curious little boy who loves songs, stories, being outdoors and exploring the world around him. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children and who will talk, sing, read books and play with him throughout the day, helping him learn and discover new things every day. We'd love to find someone who is warm, engaged, energetic and confident enough to simply get stuck in and get on with things. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is reliable, dependable and genuinely committed to working with children. We hope to find a person who will become a trusted and valued part of our family's routine and who takes pride in providing attentive, nurturing care. The ideal person will: - Have experience caring for babies and young children - Be kind, patient, practical and reliable - Enjoy spending time outdoors and planning activities - Be Garda vetted - Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car - Have a good standard of spoken English (Intermediate level or above) - Be comfortable around dogs Please note that we also have a friendly mixed-breed rescue dog, so being comfortable with dogs is essential.
